CommerceTrust Limited signs the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish the Asia Trustmark Alliance with Partners in Japan, Korea and Taiwan.

Singapore, February 26, 2003 – CommerceTrust Limited, Singapore has established the Asia Trustmark Alliance (ATA) with Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI), Japan Direct Marketing Association (JADMA), Electronic Commerce Promotion Council of Japan (ECOM), Korea Institute for Electronic Commerce (KIEC) and Secure Online Shopping Association (SOSA) in Taipei by signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), in which the four countries will closely cooperate on the Online Trustmark programs and dispute resolution systems.  Chairman, CommerceTrust Limited, Singapore, Assoc Prof Dr.Toh See Kiat signed the MOU on behalf of CommerceTrust Limited.

National Trust Council Appoints CommerceTrust as Authorised Code Owner for  Business-to-Consumer Web-based retailers.

CommerceTrust Limited today announced that the National Trust Council (NTC) has appointed CommerceTrust as an Authorised Code Owner (ACO) for business-to-consumer (B2C) web-based retailers. Following the appointment, CommerceTrust will be authorised to award the TrustSg seal to online merchants who are accredited under its ConsumerTrust Global Reliability Programme. The TrustSg seal will be accompanied by the ConsumerTrust trustmark and displayed by licensees of ConsumerTrust on their websites.

CommerceTrust Limited today announced that its PrivacyTrust Global Reliability Programme has made inroads into Japan. CommerceTrust Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Japan Information Processing Development Corporation (JIPDEC), an organisation supported by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry in Japan, to cross-recognise each other's privacy protection mark.

CommerceTrust Limited today announced that it has launched a "PrivacyTrust Global Reliability Programme" to enable consumers and businesses to establish trusting relationships based on the respect for personal information. PrivacyTrust is the first personal data privacy protection trustmark in Singapore. CommerceTrust plans to promote the trustmark as a recognised symbol of confidence in the privacy practices of online and brick-and-mortar organisations.
 

[ 9 - 11 May 2001 ] ConsumerTrust Administrators training in Malaysia Commenced

ConsumerTrust administrator training for the global reliability programme in Malaysia was held on 9 May 2001 in Kuala Lumpur.

The training programme aimed to equip administrators with the understanding and administrative skills in encouraging best business practices by merchants and explore ways to assist merchants differentiate themselves as merchants that consumer can trust. Issues on auditing to meet the standards stipulated in the ConsumerTrust Code of Practice was tackled.
