BusinessTrust
is part of CommerceNet’s Global Reliability
Programme that aims to promote trust and
confidence in the (B2B) e-commerce spectrum,
especially in the digital environment where
companies frequently trade with new and
unknown parties, often across national borders.
It is an agreed framework currently
adopted in CommerceNet Asia including Japan,
Korea, Hong Kong, China and Taiwan.
The BusinessTrust
accreditation program facilitates B2B transactions
and awards e-marketplaces that transact
with their constituent transacting
parties the BusinessTrust Trustmark. The
trustmark is targeted at buyers and sellers
trading in B2B marketplaces where large
savings are often possible by eliminating
intermediaries.
The BusinessTrust
Code of Practice is based on the international
practices of Trustmarks established in the
Organisation for Global Business Dialogue
on Electronic Commerce (GBDe) guidelines
and several other global regulatory standards.
